In solitude's embrace,
the world's threads renew.
Do you like being alone?
When I saw people doing things that we used to do together, such as eating alone, drinking alone, and traveling alone, I thought, "Ah, we're all tired of it." Nowadays, concepts such as 'voluntary isolation' seem to be considered a life skill. Some people say that our society is sick because we see so many "alone" people, and some people see it as a life skill and embrace it, and they're both right. Being together is certainly exhausting, and there are many times when it's easier to be alone, but it's not all about comfort. Those who know the taste of solitude also know the thrill of togetherness. People who are good alone are also good in groups.
I like being alone, I need it, just like I need air to breathe and water to drink. Sometimes I think about perfecting solitude: how far can I let go, what or who will be the last thing or person I leave behind. I think about the things I want to accomplish alone and the things I can only accomplish alone.
Isn't it awful to be constantly doing things that require you to be with people, enjoying them more than anything else, and yet always have "completing things alone" on the back of your mind? This contradiction is what drives me forward, but it's also what causes me suffering. Suffering is the default in our lives, so what can I do but accept this cruel inconsistency?
When I'm alone, I stay at the Dolphin Hotel (*The Dolphin Hotel (Iruka Hotel) is a place that appears in Haruki Murakami's novels <A Wild Sheep Chase> and <Dance Dance Dance>). When I am alone, instead of losing words, I gain a world that is neither seen nor heard, and in that ecstatic world, all I have to do is center myself and walk. I walk and fly at the same time and swim at the same time. I grope through the darkness of weightlessness, and everything that touches my fingertips becomes mine, and just like that, the universe fills with me. I feel like the last piece of a puzzle that can never be completed, and then I suddenly realize that I am not a lonely puzzle piece. That I wasn't a piece, I was the whole, the Completed picture.
It doesn't matter if your "being alone" is an escape, a practice, or a life cheat key. If you want to build your own ark out of the unquestionable materials of your own life and your own story, check into the Dolphin Hotel once in a while. It's about being alone, becoming alone, doing alone, and in doing so, reconnecting with the world - the world where there is life, that bright, warm, moist world.

The town of ULLEY, in the SHAM region north of the Indus River, is located at an altitude of 3,900 meters at the top of the Ulley Chu valley. It is about 80 kilometers west of Leh and takes about 2-3 hours by car.
Although it is not far from Leh, it is a remote village. There is no public transportation to the village, and the last 20 minutes of the drive is on an off-road. There are no restaurants or cafes in the tiny village of about seven households. There's not even a corner store.
Ulley is the summer pasture for yaks and dzos, two of the Himalayas' most iconic livestock, and it is also a prime habitat for the snow leopard. In addition to snow leopards, other Himalayan wildlife such as ibexes and Himalayan foxes live around ulley Valley.
Thanks to this, to observe Himalayan wildlife in winter from all over the world to observe the Himalayan wildlife in winter. Most of them are photography or documentary crews.
@wootun
Ulley is also the home of Choonza's old ladakhi friend.
A few years ago, he built a winter lodge for people who come to Ulley every winter to observe snow leopards. It's a safe and comfortable winter home for adventurers.
The lodge looks exactly like the house on the cover of <Cafe, Ladakh>.
It looks like it jumped out of the picture.
As soon as I saw it, I thought that I want to stay here and be completely alone. I want to lose track of time and seasons and just read and write.
What if this could be the first Choonza Inside?
What if it could be our summer house?
Oh my God! I realized that after all the winter guests had left, this gorgeous cottage would be empty all summer long! Travelers to Ladakh in the summer don't stay in the remote village of Ulley. What more could we think of?
I asked my friend to take a chance, and he jumped at the chance, and Dolphin Hotel became Choonza Inside's first location and our summer house.

about
choonza
The desire to 'settle down' is the result of socialization, not human nature. The future is pioneered by the next step of a nomadic human being. Nomads don't have boundaries. While settlers build fences around their land, dividing it into what's yours and what's mine, trapped in a narrow world and locked in a race for growth that will inevitably lead to limits, nomads break boundaries by expanding beyond, into other worlds, into distant universes. Nomads don't follow a set path. They can go anywhere and do anything. They are driven by intuitive need.
In his book <Survivre aux crises>, Jacques Attali wrote:
"To be everywhere at the same time, one must live as lightly as possible, without weighing oneself down with possessions, accumulating only the nomadic goods: ideas, experiences, knowledge, and connections, while reflecting on the reasons for being, not the reasons for owning."
Chooza is the child of spring, traveling the world in search of new pastures and sowing the seeds of what's to come in the land where she arrives. Choonza loves dreams, possibilities, challenges, solidarity, being the person I want to be, and all the words that have become meaningless slogans in the modern world.
Choonza pursues dreams to become reality, possibilities to produce results, challenges to succeed, solidarity to grow together, and being the real me, not someone else.
what does
choonza
think and do?
For Choonza, traveling is not something out of the realm of everyday life. It is a way of life in the form of 'nomadism', living here and there. Just as the lifestyle of nomads who move from place to place in search of pasture to feed their animals is not called 'traveling', so too is the lifestyle of people who move from place to place to make a living.
Choonza seeks to be an economic community organized on the basis of nomadic solidarity and aims to be an alternative to existing communities. Choonza's members belong to a community, engage in creative activities anywhere in the world, and in doing so, complete their lives and create new values.
The wealth pursued by settled life has long since reached its limits. The new forms of wealth that will emerge in the next generation do not accumulate in one place, but move from place to place. If wealth can't be piled up, it moves back and forth, left and right, and spreads out. That's the essence of ‘capital in motion’. It's distributed wealth and power, the counterpart to concentrated wealth and power. 'Moving citizens' scattered around the world in search of new wealth will create new value with unique content within the solidarity built on blockchain and cryptocurrency. That value is reflected not in rent or advertising revenue, but in the value of cryptocurrency shared by the blockchain community, and as a result, the wealth of all members grows together.
The 'wealth' that Choonza seeks is the wealth built and shared by the blockchain-based monetary community. Choonza refers to this as the 'Next Rich'.
Choonza operates Choonza Books, which publishes content from nomadic creators, and the nomadic small-scale trade project Bobusang Choonza. We are also planning a global house-building project, Choonza Inside, for the nomadic creator community. If you're interested in learning more about Choonza, check out CHOONZA NET.
